Samuel Koszer, MD, is the managing partner and founder of eRiver Neurology of NY, LLC, in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, Hudson, and Rhinebeck, New York. He has more than 25 years of experience as a neurologist with expertise in difficult to treat epilepsy, Parkinson’s Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis. He is board certified in neurology and in clinical neurophysiology, and fellowship-trained in epilepsy.
Dr. Koszer completed his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering at Clarkson University. He then earned his Doctorate of Medical Degree from SUNY at Stone Brook. He completed his internship in medicine at UCI Long Beach VA in California, and a residency in neurology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Koszer rounded out his medical training with a fellowship in EEG and epilepsy at Montefiore Hospital in New York.
Following his training, Dr. Koszer worked in numerous hospital settings as an attending physician, medical director, and department of neurology chair. He has also held academic appointments at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Albany Medical Center.
Dr. Koszer is a member of numerous professional memberships, including the American Academy of Clinical Neurophysiology, American Academy of Neurology, American Epilepsy Society, American Heart Association, Dutchess County Medical Society, Epilepsy Foundation of Southern New York, and many more. He has contributed his expertise to several publications, lectures, and presentations related to topics in neurophysiology.
